This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work in a brand new school that was opened to specifically benefit the children in a very low income, high crime, urban area. My students come to school hungry. They have rough home lives and are struggling to get a good education. They need so many basic supplies before they can even think about learning!
100% of our students are on free lunch and free breakfasts.
Your generosity is so appreciated. Thank you for helping out our hardworking scholars!
My Project
My students want to learn but some of them cannot focus on anything because they are hungry! They constantly ask for food or just a little snack. We buy food for the students all the time. As soon as one student is fed though, several others come up and ask for a snack too.
We know most of them have very hard home lives so we can't say no to anyone.
This food (pop-tarts, peanut butter crackers, and granola bars) will enable us to give the students a little snack to make it until lunch time so they can learn. Thank you for your support in feeding our students!
