Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Teachers who love teaching, teach children who love learning." As I enter my 20th year of teaching, I continue to follow this mantra in my classroom. I teach 28 wonderful students who come from poverty. My students are from varying ethnic backgrounds. Most of them come from homes that are struggling financially.
My students are extremely motivated, and they are genuinely respectful to each other.
They are lovers of learning, and I am truly grateful to be their teacher this year. They come to school with smiles on their faces, and they are eager to learn. We need new books to use in our literacy centers.
My Project
My students are amazing. They have boundless amounts of energy and love to read. Story time is one of our favorite times of the day. They love when I read them stories. They love it more when it is their independent reading time. Can You See What I See? books would be a fantastic addition to our classroom library. These books provide challenging, visual puzzles for the students to solve. The pictures are colorful and exciting and are filled with everyday objects used in extraordinary ways.
These books will provide endless hours of fun for my students to enjoy with a friend or on their own.
