My students need a Mimioview to become active participants in the exploration of small items, texts and demonstrations by projecting them so everyone can be involved.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn. Benjamin Franklin.
I teach a diverse group of enthusiastic 1st graders that come to school excited to learn.
Our school is a magnet program within a public school system. We are a traditional model that emphasizes parental involvement to build a learning community that strives for academic achievement. Our school draws students from a variety of neighborhoods scattered around our large urban city. Due to the large district that our school services, students come to our school from various economic and social backgrounds. I am committed to involving all students in their learning by building the technological resources in our classroom.
The more that we involve the students in their learning the more they will learn. I am asking for a Mimioview to help broaden the powerful learning experiences that have happened in my classroom. My students will no longer be passive learners but will become active participants in the learning process. The Mimioview is an invaluable addition to the Mimio Teach that I currently have attached to the whiteboard. It will enable me to enhance the learning experience by opening up a variety of materials not previously available.
Students will no longer have to wait to see small pictures, books, or demonstrations (like Science projects) because what I need to show them will be projected on the white board for the whole class to view.
This will also allow students to share their work with their classmates by simply placing it under the Mimioview.
