My school is a close knit K-5 school with 3 classrooms for each grade. We are located in a growing urban community. It is a moderate poverty school which means that one third of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch, and there is a population of ELL students. We strive to provide a nurturing environment with enriching experiences so that each and every child can reach their academic, social, and emotional potential. We set high expectations for all students who will shape the future!
My classroom is filled with motivated third grade students that are creative, inquisitive and have a love for learning!
My Project
My classroom needs some lighting and basic supplies. With half of the year under our belt, my wonderful third grade students are working so hard on our curriculum that they have run out of supplies like pencils and erasers! The classroom supply of motivational stickers and sensory tools is also dwindling.
This project would also provide several pairs of noise cancelling headphones for my students to use throughout the day for our digital technology studies.
Finally, the classroom is in need of several small lamps, to create small, cozy spaces that can be used during individual reading time.
