My Students

The students in the Arts AV Program at Hutchison High School have intentionally decided to leave their "school of record" to come to our career and technical institute to study the art of Media Communications. These students leave many of their Jr. High friends behind and add hours to their daily bus rides so they can pursue a meaningful career in Photography, Graphic Design, Video Production, Broadcast Journalism, etc. etc.

Whether it is the sons and daughters of college professors or the children of dog mushers who live in a dry cabin in near the Alaska range we melt them all together around the common mission of creating high level productions.

My Project

Though we have generally nice cameras and editing software our audio department is a bit lacking. The original microphones for our program were all purchased in 2006 and have been beaten and bruised by high schoolers since. The microphones for this fundraiser are very strong and will stand the test of time and are significantly nicer then our current cheap models.

As you know there is nothing worse then watching a good movie or commercial with terrible audio.

Your contribution to this funding campaign will not only help my students better learn then complexities of audio production but will also improve our overall productions quality making the whole experience nicer for you, our viewers, as well.
