This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a fourth grade teacher in a school in Mississippi. I believe that students learn best when activities are integrated, interactive, and meaningful. My students are full of energy, and they love to help one another. My goal is to help each child reach his or her fullest potential no matter what it takes. I want them to develop a deep understanding of knowledge and have a love for learning.

I work hard to plan creative lessons and activities to engage and challenge students.

My Project

My fourth grade students love to listen to music while they work. I often hear them sing or hum as I walk by. This singing machine would allow music to play, students to sing, and would allow students to talk into the microphone. This would be the perfect project for my classroom! My students could practice reading while they sing the lyrics off of the singing machine screen. They could practice reading into the microphone, or we could listen to music while we work. I know my fourth graders will be so excited if this project gets funded.

This will be great motivation to keep them working!
