Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school is in an urban setting where the community and parents want what is best for students. However, not all parents are able to financially support their children's education. It is so important for children to have the tools in the classroom that they need so that their time can be focused on learning.

It takes a village to raise a child.

I am trying to do my best in creating a positive environment where learning is meaningful and life-changing. Thank you for supporting my work with the whole child.

My Project

I am asking for headphones for my students because many of my parents are not able to provide the headphones for their children.

It is so important for many of our lessons for my students to be able to hear directions or what is being read, and in order for this to happen, they need to have good headphones.

I have learned that many headphones break over time and ear buds are not best for young children. I learned this from replacing many last school year. I am also asking for construction paper to refill my creation station where children can get the supplies they need to design their own areas.
