Can You Hear Me Now?
Help me give my students headsets that have quality microphones so they can record their voice when they make Powtoon videos.
"Computers themselves, and the software yet to be developed, will revolutionize the way we learn" - Steve Jobs. My school is a Title I school with over 80% receiving free or reduced-price lunches. People who visit our school say that the students are extremely kind, caring, and helpful.
The majority of these wonderful kids have limited access to technology at home.
I hope to provide these students with access to technology to help prepare them for their future and motivate them for success.
Students are learning how to create commercials and other informative videos using a web-based animated software called Powtoon. Their finished commercials are aired on the morning show so every student in the school can see and hear this information in an exciting format.
With these headsets with microphones, the students will be able to record their own voice clearly without picking up distracting background noises from the classroom.
In addition, the students will be able to play back their video over and over while they are in the editing phase, but the rest of the class won't be able to hear it. Only the student creating the video will be able to hear it if they are wearing the headset.
