My first graders are in a dual language immersion classroom. They are so hard-working, each with individual personalities. Their little minds grasp at every chance to learn something new and intriguing.
In first grade, there is so much to learn and we have so much fun doing it!
It is so amazing to watch how much they develop different skills through out the year. The best part about first grade is seeing the growth and progress of each student throughout the year!
My Project
My students have been using old headphones for years that are always breaking do even worse they don't fit. I would like to provide them with headphones that fit their sweet heads.
I try to implement as much blended learning as I can in my first grade class.
It would be so nice to use headphones that last more than one year. With blended learning in our classroom, we have lots of technology that needs to be charged and ready to go at all times. The docking charging port would help us to keep our iPads charged in an organized and safe way for every student.
I also want to provide my students with new math centers. This will really help to engage them more during math time and give them more hands-on activities. I think there needs to be more hands-on learning in first grade and this would give my students the chance!
I have wanted to build a classroom where the students feel like it represents them. With a printer in my classroom, I will be able to print off pictures in real time of our classroom activities and the students can hang it up on our "classroom community wall." As we move throughout the year, I want to implement typing more and give my students the opportunity to print off their own work from different devices. This will also help me as a teacher to be able to make my own prints and copies as I need to throughout the year.
