My students are an amazing group of third graders. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth grade school located in rural California. It houses 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.
Our school has a strong academic culture.
I want to maintain our strength in this area by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.
My Project
My students need a wireless speaker, a headphone splitter, headphones and earbuds. All of these items will be used to listen to audiobooks and music.
We have a large computer display board and the sound it produces is garbled and low volume.
I teach a lot from the computer using small videos and at times some of the kids in the back cannot hear clearly. Having the wireless speaker will allow me to put another listening station at a different point in the room. This will allow more students to hear the content more clearly. Students will be able to listen and watch science videos, watch math chats from our online math supplemental program, and listen to stories.
The headphones, earbuds and splitter will be used at students' individual computers to access online videos and to listen to audiobooks.
