My Students

My school community is very diverse. We have students on the autism spectrum, as well as students with other learning disabilities. We have students from low-income housing areas and some students identified as gifted and talented. The students at my school are growing up and learning in a community of learners from many different backgrounds. This offers the children amazing opportunities to learn.

My students are in love with reading!

They tear through books and always ask for more time to read. They enjoy using iPads to listen to audiobooks, but with a lot of students listening at once, it can get noisy in the classroom. I want to give my students more opportunities to read and listen to audiobooks.

My Project

My students need personal headphones to listen to audiobooks in the classroom. These headphones will allow each student to listen to a book or watch a video without the sound disrupting other students. With a classroom full of 31 excited students, it can get loud fast. That's why my students will benefit greatly from having their own set of headphones.

With a personal set of headphones, my students will be able to enjoy listening to audiobooks and watching videos.

Listening to various texts helps kids learn in different ways. It allows kids to hear language and helps them learn new vocabulary words. I hope that these headphones will help my students grow as readers.
