This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students at our school love to perform. We just completed our eighth full length musical production. Over the last 6 years, we have slowly built up our equipment for sound. Our goal this last year was to have every student who spoke wearing a wireless microphone. We did accomplish that, but it was a difficult task. It required quick and hasty mic changes between scenes.

In Drama Club, we want to use wireless microphones to ensure that every voice is heard and that students will be learning about the technical aspects of theater.

In Chorus and Drama, we will be using the microphones for concerts, productions, and individual performances.

My Project

My students will be able to use these microphones for choral concerts and drama productions. They will also learn how to use them during our rehearsal times. We strive to teach students to have a very professional production. That includes the use of lights, sounds, and other tech equipment.

Students in are used to working and having technology at their fingertips.

Each year, my goal is to add equipment and resources to offer these students an unique experience. Not many middle schools in our area offer a program in theater arts. These students put in hundreds of hours to achieve something great. The deserve the best equipment money can buy.
