I teach third grade in a Title I school. The school is in the middle of a neighborhood. My students come from varying backgrounds. Many of our students have limited parent support and are economically disadvantaged.
Despite many of the students' challenging backgrounds, students come to school ready to learn.
They are leaders in the classroom and around the school.
My students are very hard workers. They want to do well, and I want to provide them with the tools to do so!
My Project
When I ask a question for the class to answer, my enthusiastic Third graders hands jump high into the air! However, when someone shares their answer or question, many students struggle to hear them. Other students lose interest when they can't hear what is being said.
Picture this, with the Qball throwable microphone, a student can speak into it normally and the sound is amplified through the classroom speakers.
The QBall will not only encourage kids to stay engaged, but it also gets kids moving and active. Due to its durability students do not need to worry about hurting the microphone. The Qball would be an exciting and engaging teaching tool. I am positive the Qball would enhance our academic conversations and classroom community.
