Many of the students are at risk. Their economic disadvantage makes them at risk for not mastering the academic skills necessary to become successful adults. Reaching and teaching at risk students means building relationships and fostering a desired and exciting opportunity for each student to succeed.
Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of our students receiving free lunch.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
My students need better headphones. These wireless headphones would ensure better outcomes when doing computer assignments. I will be able to ensure that my students can hear the questions correctly when testing or doing an assignment. My students will use these headphones to explore their ability through actually being able to hear through the new headphones and not disturb the students beside them that might be doing another program or listening to another story on the computer! These wireless headphones will also resolve issues that we have had with tangled cords. Overall, we will have a better testing/learning environment with these wireless headphones!
