I have to say this is one of the most amazing group of second graders that I have ever had the opportunity to teach. They are always eager to learn.
They enter the classroom with smiles on their faces every day, even when their night or morning didn't go so well.
They push through the day and take on anything that comes their way. My students live in a rural community in Tennessee. Our school is a Title I school that serves close to 1,000 students in PreK-4.
We currently have eight chromebooks and five kindles in our classroom that are all for student use. Many of the programs that we use in our classroom require students to listen in order to respond or participate in the program. This becomes an issue when all 8 chromebooks are in use.
Having headphones for all our computers and kindles will allow students to focus on their task.
Students will be able to hear passages that are read aloud and will be able to hear interventions that are provided when questions are answered incorrectly. Students who struggle with reading will be able to get extra help when responding to questions about a text. Students who struggle with phonics skills will be able to get extra practice with kindle apps.
