My students come from a low socio-economic background in Indiana. My school is a Title I school. I have 20 fun and energetic 3rd graders. My school is a K-6 school. Their experiences in learning for fun have been limited due to our resources. This project will allow my students to enjoy learning so they can value their education and wear it at the same time!
Our students rock!
Even though we have over 400 elementary students, our school has a "family" feeling to it. The staff is great and works very hard to encourage the students to become successful members of society. Many of the students come from homes where many of their basic needs aren't met. We strive to give them the love and confidence they need to survive. They live in a difficult world, but we know that with enough help, love and guidance; they will have a bright future.
My Project
This will make a difference in my students' learning be providing a clear robust sound when using the desktop computer. This will improve their school lives by remembering the fun when hearing the elevated sounds from a pair of speakers.
Our class computer is a primary source of learning.
My students need new computer speakers. In order to unleash our computer’s true potential with powerful, full-range sound from CDs, DVDs, MP3s, and streaming videos, a pair of computer speakers will deliver both the subtleties in music and the rousing resonance from a read aloud on audio. It is like giving a new voice to our computer.
