My Students

I currently teach in a Title I elementary school serving the surrounding area. In our student population, 80% are considered to be of a minority race and 74% are economically disadvantaged. Most of my students receive free and reduced lunch, as well as food bags to help support their families over the weekend. We have a large transient population due to the military presence in our area.

My students have a wide array of social, emotional, and cognitive needs to be met.

I want to provide the best learning environment possible for their eager minds to grow! By creating projects on donors choose, I can provide different materials that my students need to succeed. Thank you for any and all donations!

My Project

This year, my school gained the funds to become 1-1 with Chromebooks. With all the students now having access to laptops, they need headphones. Many academic programs require them to hear prompts and record their voices reading text. There are also games that my students can play after completing their work which requires headphones.

Due to the financial status of many of my students, they cannot afford to buy their own headphones.

Many of the headphones and earbuds provided by the school have broken through excessive use and sharing between many students. I now have students who are unable to participate in these activities. With your donation all of my students will be able to succeed, no matter what their financial background is!
