My students are excited to be in 3rd grade. This year, I have an academically diverse group of students. Although it can be challenging at times, I find as a whole, they have more similarities than differences. It is so rewarding to watch my students interact with one another during lessons. They cooperatively work together and find ways to acknowledge each other's accomplishments.
Our school is classified as high poverty, however we celebrate the fact that we are one of the most diverse districts in the nation.
Students and staff have worked diligently to make this school a wonderful place to teach and learn. The PTA runs and provides after school enrichment programs, while teachers and other staff members run a variety of athletic programs. It is truly a special place to work!
My Project
My students are required to use Chromebooks daily. We use them for just about everything from Google Classroom to weekly reading assessments. Unfortunately, we don't have quality headphones to use. Most of the headphones we have are broken down or do not have great sound.
My students need new comfortable headphones to help them stay focused when taking tests and using online learning programs.
Not only will students be thrilled about having new headphones, they will be able to control the volume and actually hear with clarity. The headphones can also serve to block out sounds when taking assessments or reading books. These new headphones will be much softer and comfortable for students.
