My Students

My students are a very special group of children. They are the epitome of a melting pot. There are children from five out of the seven continents. Each child brings something special from their culture.

My students need to have their voices heard.

In our class we have many wonderful class discussions and debated. However, there are some students that are very introverted. They are the students that never want to join in class discussions but have something to say. They want to participate but are afraid to speak up. This project will help them.

My Project

How many times are there class discussions going on in rooms and you have the same children participating, while the rest of them are hoping to not be called on? All The Time! Children have many reasons for not participating such as shyness, speech difficulties and/or not wanting to be wrong. These reasons are obstacles that are different for each child that can follow them throughout their entire schooling. Some children are just introverts that like to keep to themselves.

Every child's voice needs to be heard.

Regardless of reasons for not participating, there needs to be a solution. This Qball, throwable ball microphone will serve as a way to encourage the children to speak. First, it will elevate the voices of the shy students. It will also motivate other students to participate because they get to throw a ball around the class.

Conversations are important for children. They need to be able to express their thoughts and feelings. This microphone will serve as a way to help.
