My students need headphones with microphones for listening centers and to record themselves reading. The bins help keep the headphones in good condition. We would love a set of privacy folders of our own.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from various economic and cultural backgrounds. My class consists of over 50% of English language learners. My students need additional support, especially since they are learning English as a second language. Some of the many great things about my students is that they are hard working, energetic, compassionate and creative!
My students love to learn!
Students through my district have nearly a 97% attendance rating. They clearly love school and their teachers. They also love to move around the classroom and engage in fun projects and activities. A goal of my district is to have every child read at grade level-this is my goal for the year as well!
My Project
Students are constantly distracted by sounds coming from other computers due to not having a full classroom set of headphones. Now, students will be able to focus on their assignments during center time. Students also enjoy reading online books and will now be able to read their books without noise distraction. The headphones with microphones will allow students to hear themselves reading. For additional support, my struggling readers will be able to verbally record their answers. Parents are also able to listen to their child reading through various apps that allow children to record themselves reading.
It is a great way for parents to see their child's progress.
Lastly, my students want and need privacy folders during testing time. They are easily distracted and never like having their neighbor look at their paper :) plus...we always borrow privacy folders from another class.
