I work with a group of second graders, many of whom are second language learners, who are building their confidence while progressing in their social and academic development. They are enthusiastic learners who are going on an adventure of learning to express themselves through the spoken and written word.
My students LOVE learning new things and sharing what they have learned with others.
In our class, we are always looking for creative ways to display our accomplishments. Speaking and listening are crucial parts of our development as we become storytellers.
A wireless microphone will change the way my students communicate in class. It will add another dimension to how they are able to showcase their achievements whether it be reading stories or sharing their own. Second graders are often hesitant to make presentations in front of their peers, but the use of a microphone will definitely make it more exciting..
A Microphone will give everyone a voice.
Some of my students are very shy and will benefit from extra motivation to speak in class, while others speak in such low voices that it is difficult to hear what they have to say. Students will become empowered when they know that what they have to say is being heard.
