My Students

Students who enter my classroom are bright, young individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds. My school has a very high percentage of students receiving free lunch. Many students in my school struggle to bring a pencil or paper to class. My school has a garden that students have the chance to work in.

I believe every student can be successful.

In my classroom; students are taught to work hard every day no matter what they are facing in life. I believe that every student is able to overcome and triumph. Many of my students rise to my expectations through their behavior and classwork.

My Project

My students are in need of fidgets for the classroom to have a productive school year! I have many students that cannot sit still or have a very hard time focusing. There are hand fidgets as well as bands included in this project that go on the top of pencils as well as in the student's hand.

Students that have excess energy often need to move around, stand up, or fidget but usually end up distracting other students.

Almost all of my students have excess energy at some point and could benefit from a fidget. The bands will be placed on chairs and the other fidgets will be handed out as needed. I will also have a place in my classroom where students could go to get a fidget if needed.

I believe these fidgets and bands will help students stay focused, lessen distractions to others, and, as an added benefit, they will hopefully enjoy the fidgets that they are using.
