My Students

My students are amazing seven- and eight- year olds who have persevered and adjusted to online distance learning despite all of the obstacles the pandemic has thrown their way. They show up to class every morning, happy and ready to learn.

My Project

We are currently learning about what paleontologists do, how fossils are made, and what they tell us about the past. All of this learning will come together in the culminating experience of student being paleontologist and excavating their very own fossils!

The requested kits consist of fossil bearing mounds, excavation tools, and reference materials about fossils.

With these materials, students will practice using tools to excavate fossils and record information about their dig sites, enabling them put their reading, writing, and science learning into action. Please help me to provide ALL of my students with a shared hands-on experience to engage in meaningful learning.
