My Students

My students are amazing seven and eight year olds who have persevered and adjusted to online learning despite all of the obstacles the pandemic has thrown their way. They show up to class every morning, happy and ready to learn.

My school is a Title One school, meaning that over half of our students qualify for free or reduced price lunch.

The various ethnic backgrounds of students contribute to the rich diversity in our classrooms.

My Project

We are currently learning about what paleontologists do, how fossils are made, and what they tell us about the past. This fossil dig will be the highlight of our learning! Students will exhibit perseverance, responsibility, and initiative as they excavate their very own fossils! The requested kits consist of fossil bearing mounds, excavation tools, and reference materials about fossils. Through this activity, students will practice using tools to excavate fossils and record information about their dig sites. This is an experience my students will remember for many years to come!
