Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are examples of what I call the 80/20 Magnetic Mystery. Like magnets, I understand 80% of what makes them work while 20% of their inner workings have yet to be discovered. When I remember the 80/20 MM, our work together is phenomenal.

The scholars I serve are individual young adults with individual dreams.

I never assume to know all there is to know about them. Instead, I am discovering the wonders of the 20% that fuels their dreams.

My Project

Shy Amos knows how to motivate students. She blends live music, poetry, and motivational speech to meet young scholars where they are with a brand of refreshing relevance.

Participants take a journey of self discovery when Shy Amos issues the invitation to reflect on what achieving success really means.

Her willingness to be vulnerable as she explains how failure is the precursor to success is captivating. Whether they are fortunate to experience "Unlock the Overcomer's Mindset In You" or "Get in the Game," Shy Amos' participants leave her sessions changed for the better and excited to seek their best selves.
