In my classroom, there are 26 hard-working, bright, caring, energetic students. They come from a variety of backgrounds and family dynamics. At my elementary school, 94% of students are at poverty level (or lower) and 10% of the students are homeless.
The students in my classroom are all capable of learning and are able to set goals, make plans, and reach these goals with hard work.
My students come to school every day because they are motivated and eager to learn. I love all of the different personalities and varying capabilities that walk through my door every morning.
This project is a little different than my last few projects--these are items that my students have been asking for.
The students in my classroom would love a microphone for our morning meeting as well as classroom presentations.
This will make speaking and sharing so much more fun for my students. It would also help students who may be a little shy or nervous to share their voice.
COLORED PENCILS! My students have been BEGGING me for colored pencils. We are down to under 20 colored pencils. My students prefer colored pencils for all craft activities. They would be so excited to receive a class pack of colored pencils.
The students are also in need of dry erase markers and a dry erase board for our classroom. We use both of these during small group instruction. The boys and girls in my classroom also enjoy using the dry erase board and markers during recess--they play school. I'd like to give them a new board they can use rather than asking to use my teacher board. How can I say no to them playing 'school' and learning during recess?!
