My Students

Everyday my students ask to take home puzzles, counting bears and rhyming games. Unfortunately we have a limited supply of these great materials, so it is very difficult to allow multiple students to take these things home with them.

I teach 13 fantastic preschool students in Washington, DC.

My students come from challenging circumstances, but arrive at school each day ready to learn. Like other young children they love to play games, read books and put together puzzles as they learn numbers and the alphabet.

My Project

My class is requesting a set of take-home learning packs. With these materials students will be able to take home games, puzzles and manipulatives to help them learn at home. These learning-packs will be a lot more engaging than a worksheet, but will help us achieve the same goals that traditional homework would. These materials will help ensure that all students are getting extra practice at home and will also help parents work with their child at home by providing fun, educational activities to do as a family.

Everyday I wish I had enough materials to allow my students to take them home with them.
