Authentic success allows all children to be successful in their own way. I believe that students learn best when they are investigating and creating. Being able to share their work and explain the reasoning behind it is an important component of learning. Technology tools can facilitate this sharing while allowing for more social distance.

We are a school of choice in a rural area. Students comprise a diverse ethnic, social and economic group. More than half of our students are from low income families. Many of our families are encountering additional economic hardships during this time. My school has been active in acquiring federal grants to provide food pick ups for families during Covid 19.
My students are a lively and enthusiastic group who embrace projects. They are curious! They love to use technology resources in their learning.
My Project
I need to have levelled books and books at an easier reading level to accommodate the range of readers in my classroom. Students will use the books to read with partners at school; and to take home for their nightly reading/writing homework.
Leveled books build sequentially and make it easy for the students, and myself, to know which books are at their level.
I need to optimize their reading time by offering the motivational excitement that having many new books to choose from will generate.
Teaching a multi grade class has many benefits but requires more teacher modification. The writing activity books will help me to provide writing lessons that are grade level appropriate for all my students.
