My students are a very sweet group of first graders who love learning and interacting with each other. They work hard throughout the day to do their best in all things, and get excited when they succeed at various tasks. My students work together throughout the day in a variety of ways, and I am always amazed at how well they work together and encourage each other.
The students in my classroom come from all backgrounds.
Though some have rough home lives, they still come to school excited about learning! Many students in my class are below grade level in reading and need individual or small group activities to be able to succeed. I have two students who are ESOL, one of which speaks no English at all. In addition to my ESOL students, I also have students with some focus issues and speech issues.
Each student, no matter what their home life or academic ability, deserves the best school experience I can possibly give them!
My Project
In my school of 34+ classrooms, there are only 2 color printers. Needless to say the printers are constantly being used and are more often than not out of ink. The regular copiers often jam and leave teachers frustrated that everyday copies cannot be made. In my classroom, my students participate in various small group activities, many of which require pages to be printed in color. By having a color printer in my classroom, I would never have to worry about having to wait to print, or even worse, not be able to print because there is no ink.
My students work hard and deserve the very best materials available.
My project is requesting a printer. Having a classroom printer would allow me to print anything I need in black and white or color without having to worry that I will have issues with the school's copier/printer. This particular printer design was chosen because it will last about 2 years before the ink will need replacing. Being able to print items for my students quickly and effectively would make this printer a wonderful addition to our classroom!
