My students need headphones to assist in their learning and reaching their goals. A classroom is a noisy place on any day with the exchanging of ideas between teacher and student. Headphones help keep all students engaged.
I teach in a high poverty (Title I) K-2 school. Many of the students in my class are working below grade level in reading and/or math. Given the environment my students come from, the odds are already against them. Often, the parents do not have the skills or the tools to help their child succeed.
Many of my students are kinesthetic learners.
It is essential that I find ways to address a unique learning style for my students within my classroom. They find structure, love, and positivity at school. I want them to succeed in not only reading and math, but in all areas.
My Project
My classroom is 1:1 with iPads! I want my students to be successful in their daily reading and math task, and headphones will help them be successful! We are in need of headphones for each iPad so that the students may clearly hear the program and themselves reading a book.
The students need headphones to help drown out sounds that may be interruptive to them and their work.
The headphones will help my students focus on what is specifically assigned to them instead of hearing something from across the classroom. Headphones have the ability to block sounds, making the surrounding area quiet. Please help my students get focused using headphones!
