I teach 27 energetic 2nd graders who are all high achieving students! No matter the academic or ability level, all of my students have different learning styles that I try to meet every day! I have a bright, welcoming classroom that my students make their home. As a whole, Apollo Elementary incorporates Eureka Math/ZEARN from grades K-5...all using chrome books as part of our everyday lesson!
Our class is home to several students who come to us from Barksdale Airforce Base in Bossier, City, LA!
I teach a multicultural class. However, all of my students are excellent facilitators when it comes to technology. We learn and play through hands-on activities and technology that allows us to expand on each skill. We work hard to build on knowledge we have gained and expand our minds to new learning inside and outside the classroom!
My Project
More chrome books for our classroom means that my 27 second graders will be able to access information needed for each daily lesson. We are currently sharing with another class and to do so takes away from instructional time. My goal is to have a 1 to 1 ratio of technology in my classroom. With the growing world of technology, this generation of students are familiar with and more than capable of doing an abundant amount of work and research with technology. This goal will only work if we have enough chrome books for each student in every class. Chrome books will improve these students lives by putting technology, literally, right at their fingertips!
