I have a classroom of twenty-seven, fun and energetic kindergarteners. I am currently teaching in Oklahoma and I absolutely love it. This is my first year teaching kindergarten. It has, and will be, a great adventure for me and my students. I could not be more proud to call them "my kids".

My Project
To celebrate the end of Kindergarten, we are going to engage in a camping unit! We will be doing this like making smores and writing about our camping experiences. Most importantly, we are going to transform our classroom to look like a campground!
Through this unit, we hope to pull in a lot of science and nonfiction based literacy activities to help students learn about life in the woods!
They will love learning about the wildlife and activities that you can do while camping.
We plan on using the tents to help our room look more like a campground. The students will get to complete their work in those tents. That type of realistic experience is what makes this unit so fun! We will also use the waterbeads to make a pond for students to fish from. Finally, the books and flashlights will be used to read "nighttime stories" in their tents!
