When you enter our room, you will see a bright classroom with a huge banner that says, "Let learning take you around the world." Every day, I strive to help my students make connections to the world around them and learn by doing.
This year, I have twenty-six bright, motivated, and curious learners who come to school every day ready to learn.
My students love our science and technology.
Our school excels academically because of our hard-working students, supportive parents, and dedicated teachers. We work hard to provide the necessary tools our students need to be successful.
Student engagement is a top priority in my classroom. Classroom tents and our faux campfire will provide many opportunities for my students to enjoy a camp themed environment while receiving instruction in all content areas. The best part is these items can be used over and over again to create a fun and engaging reading space for my students.
To begin our discussion about camping, our class we will read "Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night".
Students will have a chance to make s'mores, participate in team building STEM challenges, and finally snuggle with their reading buddies (stuffed animals) and a favorite book. Flashlights and lanterns will allow students to read in their tents while enjoying our classroom campout.
