I am privileged to be a fourth grade teacher to some truly amazing kids. Almost half are economically disadvantaged, coming from all walks of life. Many of my students face challenges at home and school.
They love to read, write, and create!
Being from low income families, having resources at home is not always available. No matter the circumstances they face at home, they come to school ready to learn! My students truly amaze me at how resilient they are!
My Project
My students need these resources to help them become better writers. My goal as their writing teacher is to be able to assist my students to get their ideas on paper. The file folders and bingo games will create a fun atmosphere to learn sentence structure and grammar rules. These additional tools will be used for learning stations, tutoring, and writing camps. I will be able to use these for years to come!
As teachers we seek to give our students authentic experiences and I am hoping this project will give them experience in creating authentic writing and inspire them to find the inner author in themselves!
