My Students

Nestled in our rural county in a small town elementary school is a group of eager and curious Kindergartners that I get the privilege of investing in! Their diverse cultures are an important part of who they are and we embrace each one of them. Their vibrant and curious personalities bring so much joy to my classroom every day. It is my desire to foster an environment of acceptance, one that is encouraging, fun and exciting.

Even at this young age, my students are encouraged to PERSEVERE and to always do their best.

While this is just the beginning, I strive to create in them a life-long love of learning.

My Project

Kindergarten students need to be exposed to many different types of texts from the very beginning of school.

I love for my students to be able to hold a book and see the story come to life for them.

These books are early readers and will offer an amazing opportunity for my students to be able to read these all on their own! The freedom to choose a book from our very own classroom library is empowering and I know this will be an amazing addition to my classroom! With the different levels my students will be able to utilize these books for our accelerated reader program and gain fluency and comprehension skills galore!!
