My students need these cameras to take photos for our Yearbook. Our school currently does not have a single camera for students to use, therefore these are essential for the success of our club.

Hello and welcome to my Donors Choose page! My school serves urban students who are predominantly bilingual in Spanish and English, receive free or reduced lunch, and enter my classroom with below grade level skills. However, my students are ambitious, dedicated, and incredibly caring.
Despite facing difficult challenges both inside and outside their classes, my students strive to have a positive high school experience by joining clubs.
This year in addition to teaching 9th grade, I have taken on the Yearbook program and am working with a wonderful team of all grade levels after school each week. Together we hope to create an exciting book that showcases our unique, inspiring student body.
My Project
Since my school currently does not possess any cameras for students to use, it is critical that we fundraise for new equipment. These cameras will give students the opportunity to learn basic photography skills and enhance their understanding of technology.
The Yearbook team is a dedicated group of about 20 students from all grade levels who want to make a difference at our school by capturing moments that will last a lifetime.
They are incredibly respectful and will treat these cameras like precious treasure. Even though we are a small school, I want our Yearbook program to have the proper technology that it needs for students to feel capable and competent.
My students are incredibly excited at the prospect of having DSLR cameras to use for our Yearbook this year and perhaps some will be inspired to continue exploring photography and how technology functions in today's world!
