Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students go to a small, inner-city, elementary school in a high poverty area in Los Angeles, California. Our school has a high population of foster kids, single-parent households, and students living with extended family members. We teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students qualify for free school breakfast, lunch, and supper.
Despite the many challenges they face, our students are a wonderfully diverse bunch of energetic, kind, and enthusiastic learners, ready to face the world.
My Project
My students and I are learning in new ways. We need technology that will help provide quality instruction, while we are in the remote learning phase. As many of you know, the nation is going through trying times. We are not able to go into our schools and have been spending countless hours on creating, monitor students' learning online, communicating and conferencing with student and parents.
Please help me continue to give my students quality Instruction with a document camera and ink, while the stay at home orders are in place.
