Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the privilege of teaching fifth grade at a diverse public school. I teach at a Title I-funded school in Nevada in which a high percentage of my students come from bilingual homes and receive free lunch. My school serves a low-income population of which most students are English language learners. A portion of these students only receive exposure to English in school. They work with great enthusiasm and effort to improve their English and progress toward a mastery of the language.

My students face tough obstacles in their lives but arrive at school smiling and ready to learn.

They love their teachers. Our school truly is a community and a family. We each do our part as a ​student and teacher. We work side by side with one mission in mind: our students’ success.

My Project

Please help our class film for our new cameras that will allow us to capture and print quick polaroid's to keep as memories.

Our students are requesting cameras and film to take pictures with friends.

We are requesting packs of film to capture memories in our classroom. We would love for our students to be able to use the cameras to capture and keep pictures of their friends in the classroom. Please help us bring this project to life with these needed resources for the class. We would really appreciate it!
