Our Title One School is blessed with a culturally rich, diverse population, with ninety-two percent of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunches, and a high concentration of English Language Learners. Sean Junkin's quote, "So often you find that the students you're trying to inspire are the ones that end up inspiring you," applies to my classroom every day.
Our students have generous hearts that will change the world if they are given opportunities to share their passions and learning with others.
They will inspire you, as they inspire me each day.
We are striving to incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Technology into every aspect of the curriculum. This Silhouette Cameo 3 machine will allow students to see their ideas and designs in action. There is so much curriculum to get through in first grade that we try to get creative in every way possible.
Students will use these tools to create learning activities to reinforce what they are working on mastering.
Allowing students the freedom to work and create reinforces concepts they are taught. I strongly believe in constructive and interactive learning opportunities and these amazing students thrive when given the opportunity to express themselves using technology. We use technology daily in our classroom and these tools will give them additional ways to present their ideas and gain confidence in their abilities.
