This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The impact on a positive environment for all students can never be overstated. For many of our kiddos, school is their safe space. One of the most vital things I've learned in my young teaching journey is that the classroom must always be a place that supports students in understanding ALL of their emotions, especially those emotions that stem from anxiety and trauma.

By donating to this classroom calm area, you are building a soothing, reliable environment that promotes daily positivity, expression and a growth mindset students will carry proudly into adulthood.

The yoga cards, breathing exercise cards and mindfulness tools provide useable materials that students can use individually or in group settings.

We often forget that students are human beings also and they at times have difficulty navigating their emotions just like us. By donating to our classroom, you are ensuring the students feel safe, independent and understood every day. I thank you so much for supporting education and making a giant difference in the lives of our young changemakers.
