Help me give my students at LAUSD a calm room with a variety of fidgets, affirmation and feelings posters, and bean bag chairs to calm their nervous systems and regulate their bodies and brains for academic and behavioral success!

My Project

In a community where many of the students have increased mental health needs, these requested items will benefit the high-risk students at LSES in LAUSD to better regulate their emotions, brain, and body. These supports will allow students to have access to a safe, therapeutic room where they can deescalate behaviors, calm their minds, and find a reset so that they may return to their classroom and have better academic and behavioral success in school. These bean bags, tent, and other tools will teach them life-long lessons to regulate their emotions when they may feel anxious, worried, overactive, depressed, and/or overwhelmed.
