This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students here at Catskill Elementary are so special! Each is unique and brings great qualities to each class. Sometimes some of my students become overwhelmed with their peers, their environment, technology, or just need a break for a few minutes. These pillows and sensory toys will help students practice calming exercises that were taught in order for them to regroup and be able to join the class for instruction.

Instructional time is so important!

It is important that we give students what they need to succeed. Giving students an opportunity and a place to get their emotions and feelings in check, increase their amount of productivity.
