This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love the students at my school! They are passionate about social-emotional learning and mental health. Many of the students at this school are minorities, low-income, and come from diverse backgrounds.

I would like to create the best counseling room for the students at my school!

I am so grateful the school has been able to provide me with my own space. However, we are in need of furniture to create a warm and functional counseling room.

Currently, there are only tables/chairs in the room. I would like to have mental health posters, a rug, a beanbag, soft items such as pillows, toys, books, and supplies (journals) that promote emotion regulation, and decoration that promotes tranquility and calmness such as earthy plants and soothing music.
