This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school students demonstrate a significant mental health need. Many of our students come to the Wellness Center to discuss difficult feelings or experiences. Some are struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, grief, etc. Many of our students understand that their mental health and emotional regulation also have an impact on their academic achievement. Having a calming area will help to promote a school environment where students can relax and feel safe. Our students are working hard to be kind, responsible, and motivated. Please help them reach their goals!
