This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help my first grade students to get a calming area that they are proud to use! The table and cushions will provide students a safe and welcoming environment where they can take some time to regulate their emotions in a positive way.

We will use this area in our classroom to learn about mental health social emotional learning.

I would like my students to have the skills (and space!) necessary to know what to do when they feel overwhelmed. I know my students will love this area in our classroom.
