This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are young and inquisitive, and I love learning with them. For most, this is their first school experience, and coming out of a pandemic, they have a lot of big emotions in such little bodies.

My students need guidance in recognizing and managing their emotions.

The calming lamp and the light table will help students learn to relax by using beautiful visuals. The books and plush toys are specifically geared toward their age group and will provide more social emotional tools for them.

This project will help me set up a specific area where my students will feel safe and encouraged to learn about their emotions.
