My Project

When I polled my students and asked what support they needed most, there was a high percentage that answered "We need help dealing with stress and anxiety." I would like students who enter my math class to know there are places in my room designed to help them de-stress and release their anxiety. Students bring the outside world into the classroom with them and math in itself can also elevate student frustration and anxiety.

With your help, I can create opportunities for students to release some of their tensions enabling them to better focus during the critical instructional minutes of math class.

With COVID delays every minute of mathematical instruction is critical. By providing access to different seating choices, hand fidgets, and stress-relieving manipulation tools, students will be able to relieve stress thus freeing up their brains to focus and engage in our math lessons. Your support will help students to continue to grow mathematically as they adapt to post-COVID social-emotional learning environments.
