My Project

Hi! My class is an intensive autism class and the extent of our sensory time is spent squishing shaving cream through our fingers (if I remember to stop at Target and buy some). Now, we all love shaving cream, but I thought it was time for us to branch out with some new fun sensory items. We plan on having more robust sensory rotations with the new materials.

Exploring different textures is so important for students’ emotional regulation, and a regulated child is ready to learn!

Despite the wide range of needs my students have, they all love a good sensory break. So do the adults!
