This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders come to school every day ready to learn. Throughout the day, some of my students experience things that maybe they didn't expect. This is pretty normal for their young brains to deal with emotions that sometimes they do not know how to handle.

In our classroom we have a calming corner where students are welcome to visit anytime they are encountering a problem that is making them feel sad, mad, frustrated, etc.

For this project I am requesting some activities that will help them with breathing techniques, relaxation ideas and activities to reduce anxiety.

I hope you can help me make this project possible.
