Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bright energetic 3-5 year old students with Speech or Language Impairments, Other Health Impairments, and Autism. About 96.6% of the students receive free or reduce-priced meals. Most of their goals are to attend during a teacher-led activity, use words to communicate wants and needs, use socially acceptable phrases/words while cooperatively interacting with peers.
Many of my students have a positive perception of school to the point that some dislike going home.
My goal is to give my students a five-star education. For this, we need help from donors like you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will be used as soon as they arrive in the classroom. In the meantime, we are using little pieces of playdoh and movement breaks to calm students who get anxious with sounds, too many people, or excessive movements.
My students are noticeably more engaged in whole group and large group when given fidget toys and materials.
The marble fidget toy will enable my students with behavior support plans to remain engaged during whole group. The chair fidget band will enable these same students to be better engaged during small group rotations. Our students who need sensory breaks will be able to calm their bodies by using the dough builders, dinosaur STEM toy, or the scented putty.
